The highly anticipated Miss Pub 7 2016, scheduled to take place on May 5 at The Pub in Ombili, Katutura, is calling for beauties to start registering.
This year the event is hosted under the theme “Beauty and the Brain” and is aimed at giving an opportunity to those who want to start modeling careers. Those wanting to strut their stuff on the catwalk will have an opportunity to apply for the competition and meet with pageant staff.
The owner of The Pub, Sam David, who has organised the event for the past two years, said it is open to women who are not married and have no children.
“Size and height does not matter. People wanting to apply have to be eloquent and well presented. We want somebody who is an all-round person and who is confident in themselves and who would be able to be an ambassador of The Pub,” David says.
Application forms for Miss Pub 7 will be available at The Pub and online by the beginning of March. Unlike last year, this time around the event is promised to be bigger and better.
Ten girls will be selected from the auditions to go through to the final competition set to take place in the first week of April at The Pub. According to the organisers, they decided to host the event early in May, due to public demand.
“Miss Pub 7 2015 was one of the events that attracted hundreds of viewers and has been the talk of the whole Katutura ever since. Hence, we decided to host it earlier in order to make Katutura the heart of entertainment activities,” says David.
In December Pakkala Ashipala won the Miss Pub 7 2015, with Nelly Frans as a first princess and Eveline Ashivudhi as a second princess.
