GWM sales are rocketing sky high, and the Namibian dealership Pupkewitz GWM has proved to be outselling everyone else around them, having recorded the best sales figures in the SADC region for last year, according to Uwe Kessler (DP Pupkewitz GWM Namibia).
With a sales team that is hard to beat in both the new and pre-owned departments, trophies have been awarded to the top performing sales executives who have proved to be unbeatable. Corry Katjiru was crowned the top sales executive outselling his closest rivals even in South Africa, and exceeded sales targets in 2013, which has ranked him as the best GWM new sales person in the SADC region.
He broke the target with a sales figure that exceeded expectations, especially in light of the fact that all his contracts were individual buyers. This means that Corry did not have a tender or a company fleet order, but used his selling skills to encourage local buyers to drive the GWM product. He has built up a large client base in the North, Angola, and even Zambia.
According to the Corry the most popular vehicle he has sold is the GWM Steed Workhorse bakkie, although the entire range is selling well, he says.
Tolla Botha was also awarded a trophy for the most pre-owned vehicles sold through the Pupkewitz GWM dealership. While Stanley Kali sold the most cars through a campaign held by the Standard Bank in 2013, and he was chosen amongst over a dozen dealership representatives to spend a week in Iceland as a result of his top performance. Stanley was awarded the overall prize in the Micro New Dealership category.
GWM has introduced a wide range of passenger vehicles as well as SUV’s and bakkies which are proving to be very popular with the Namibian motoring public. The combination of good pricing and competitive quality has turned the public’s attention towards this brand, which is becoming one of the leading Chinese products enjoyed on Namibian roads.
