WINDHOEK-The road to an exciting extravaganza is probably leading to the Protea Hotel Thüringerhof tonight when Queen-B hosts her first ever fashion show The Queen-B Fashion Show Glitz & Glamour .

Queen-B, real name Lydia Iita, says she loves being creative and passionate about fashion. “I started designing few years ago. I have been in the fashion industry for about five years now. Fashion designing comes natural, let me say it’s in the blood, my mother is a tailor and my grandmother still sews her own clothes at the age of 86, I was born to do fashion,” says Queen-B. She further reveals that her first inspiration to become a fashion designer was the desire to bring delicacy, harmony, and happiness to a woman’s life. “As a creative woman, I established a code of my work very early. I always combines what a women needs for herself so it is expressed through the way she dresses,” she adds.

Cathy Tshikesho, Nicoleen Menjono, Pewa Metha and Matthew Erastus are the young talented designers featuring while Berthold, 362DNA Crew and Magic Sticks will be performing tonight. However, Queen-B signifies that the Queen B Fashion Show Glitz and Glamour  is a show not to be missed,  as she will be showcasing ready-to-wear cocktail dresses and evening wear. “Namibia has young talented designers, come witness it yourself, since it’s also my birthday on the 4th. The VIPs will be treated to an after party. It’s my first ever fashion show guys come support your girl Queen-B,” she entices.  Tickets are N$ 100 and N$ 150 for VIPs.
