The planning meeting for the official launch of the rabies project will be held in Windhoek this week.

The NAU already collected N$1,4 million of the budgeted N$2 million for this project by way of donations. In the meantime NAPHA also pledged their cooperation to market this project amongst overseas hunters for contributions.

The NAU earlier also gave the opportunity to members to make contributions towards these projects and various FA’s have indicated that they already collected funds for this. These contributions as well as contributions of individual members can be paid into the following bank accounts:

Safety tips

Following the attack on Florence Hamman and her mother on their farm north of Seeis on July 6, we would like to caution members and herewith give a few safety tips. The complete set of safety tips is available at the office and you can contact Erika, Tel 061 237838, evg@agrinamibia.com.na for the complete set.

Be on the look-out for suspicious people and movement of suspicious vehicles and immediately report this to the nearest Police Station; do not keep large amounts of cash on the farm; good relationships with employees on farms are very important. Encourage your employees to report any suspicious people in the vicinity; it is recommended to keep one dog (small dog) in the house and one or more (large dogs) outside and it is advisable that the dogs do not come in contact with the employees;  if the vehicles stand on the farm, remove the distributor and spark-plug cables. Loosen wheel nuts – if the vehicle is stolen, the tyre will fall off after a short time; when you become a victim, don’t resist, especially if the perpetrator has a weapon.

Maintenance on D1473 completed
