The two trial awaiting Americans, Marcus Kevin Thomas and Kevan Donnell Townsend, accused of murdering a young Namibian in Windhoek in January 2011 were the victims of a motor vehicle accident last Friday morning. The accident happened at the intersection of John Meinert and Hosea Kutako streets. A vehicle from the Serious Crime Unit of the Namibian Police transporting the accused together with other inmates collided with two taxis and overturned. Passengers in the taxis sustained serious injuries, while the inmates were treated for slight injuries.
