WINDHOEK – All roads lead to the Windhoek Independence Stadium when the two-day popular Bank Windhoek Athletics Namibia Senior Track and Field Championships get underway this morning.

Several regions and associate members have entered athletes and the championship already has all the required ingredients to offer great entertainment with athletes from the Erongo, Khomas, Oshana, Kavango and Kavango East regions in line to claim top spots in the various disciplines.

The first events are scheduled for 17h00 this afternoon finishing at 19h45 before resuming tomorrow morning at 08h30 with the final medal presentation set for 12h00. The cream of local track and field athletes will be in action and records are expected to tumble. Athletics Namibia has expressed gratitude for the support from Bank Windhoek, the main sponsor, and Namibia Beverages/Coca Cola for the supply of all soft drinks and water.
