The Oosterheim Junior Secondary School at Aroab was the beneficiary on Friday of a financial contribution from the Namibian Cabin Crew Union (NCCU), established primarily to represent flight attendants at Air Namibia.

“We have decided to assist our government to achieve Vision 2030 by financially contributing to education and health in the country. The children of Namibia are the future leaders of our country, therefore we have decided to sponsor 30% of all proceeds raised by the NCCU to Namibian schools,” said a statement by the union’s president, ER Muinjo.

The first fundraising effort for the union’s noble cause was a formal dance held at the end of March at the Vocational Training Center in Khomasdal.

The union on Friday delivered a motivational talk on career opportunities to learners of the Oosterheim Junior Secondary School in the air-transport industry of the country.
