Victory … The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Russia in Windhoek yesterday celebrated the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and its victory, with its allies, over Nazi German. Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Peya Mushelenga (left) toasts with Russian Ambassador to Namibia Alexander Khudin to the good health of the two countries’ leaders Hage Geingob and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Victory Day, marking the day that Nazi Germany surrendered to the Soviet Union in 1945, is a major holiday in Russia complete with massive military parades.
