WINDHOEK – The Customer Service award ceremony, held on the November 5, 2014, declared Sanlam Namibia Holding as the Best Client Service Provider in the financial sector. The award ceremony took place at the Polytechnic’s new Health and Applied Sciences Building in Windhoek. These were the results from the very first multi-industry, nation-wide customer service survey.
Sanlam topped the list based on its response time to clients, with a performance rating of 81 percent with customers noting their prompt and timely customer service.
Evans Simataa, General Manager, Corporate and Public Support said,
“Customer service in Namibia barely gets any praise, however this survey assures customers that their voices are indeed heard and we aim to meet their requirements. It is an honour to be bestowed such a great recognition especially from an independent initiative that has no biased position. It is our goal to continuously bring such reputable service to the market.”
The survey was conceived and commissioned by the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business of the Polytechnic of Namibia as part of a campaign to promote excellent customer service in Namibia. The survey targeted the most important services for the typical Namibian and those that consumed 95 percent of the discretionary expenditure of the typical Namibian household.
The twelve categories this year were supermarkets, banks, health services, municipal services, and electricity supply, transport, telecommunications, security, home affairs, Insurance, post office and education. This is the first national survey of customer service ever conducted in Namibia.
