The Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League ended on a high note with Windhoek Gymnasium and De Duine high schools claiming the coveted Under 19 A-Division and Under 17 A-Division titles respectively..

In a crushing defeat. Windhoek Gymnasium Under 19s saw off Tsumeb Gymnasium by 63 goals to 14, while Elnatan took 3rd place defeating Windhoek Afrikaans Privaatskool in the A-Division.

It was a nail-biter playoff in the B-Division Under 19s, that saw Windhoek High School narrowly edging ahead of Moganedi Thlabanello High School with 32 baskets to 30, while Agri College had the better of the proceedings in their match against Pro-Ed Academy, emerging 38 – 22 victors.

In an upset victory, De Duine High from Walvis Bay beat Windhoek Gymnasium 30 -23 in the the Under 17 A-Division, leaving Edugate to pick up the pieces for 3rd place at the expense of WHS (21 – 12).

In the B-Division, Elnatan took 1st place by beating WAP 24 – 17, while Tsumeb Gymnasium recorded a resounding win over MK Gertze (31 –17).

The Schools Netball Super League continued to grow since it was established three years ago with only ten teams during the maiden season.

This year, nine teams competed in the Under 17 League, while 12 teams took part for the championship title in the Under 19 League.

The competition aims to develop and promote netball at school level, by providing a platform for senior school netball teams to participate in a competitive league.
