Meeting the criteria of performance, service delivery and exceptionally high standards might sound easy, but for Shell East End Service Station in Klein Windhoek, who walked off with the Shell Retailer of the Year 2013 – this achievement is no mean feat. The Gold medallist filling station was awarded the coveted Namibian Retailer Award at a gala function in Beijing, China recently, where East End Service Station mingled with over 1 000 gold winning retailers from around the world, to accept the award as being the best Shell filling station in Namibia. Site Owner and Vice Chairman of ASSO, Koos Van der Merwe who is pictured here with petrol attendant Simon Nanyemba, pointed out that Shell Oil Company runs a programme throughout the world which sets the criteria to unify Shell service stations globally, and that the standards which they adhere to are monitored internationally and are very high. Van der Merwe also mentioned that the V-Power promotion which they are currently running with an all paid for trip to Mauritius up for grabs, is nearing to an end on the 30th September, with the winners being announced shortly afterwards.
