Shiweva launches Chapter and Beyond Book Club

Every new chapter in life brings growth and opportunity, which is why Rosalia Shiweva, founder of The Global Mindset Coaching Academy, created Chapters and Beyond Book Club.

It is an annual project by The Global Mindset Coaching Academy aimed at empowering the youth aged 25 to 40 to become their best selves. Through actionable strategies and shared learning, they guide the community to take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals.

To foster this growth, she has launched the Chapters and Beyond Book Club, a virtual platform hosted on WhatsApp. Her goal is to hold members accountable to their reading goals while creating a supportive space to deepen understanding and tackle life’s challenges through books.

“The goal of the book club is not only to encourage regular reading but also to foster a deeper understanding of life’s challenges through books. By creating a space for shared learning and reflection, we can guide each other in taking meaningful steps toward becoming our best selves,” she said.  She added that recognising the unique challenges faced by adults, this club encourages daily reading, even if it’s just five minutes, to keep the momentum going. Reading can be transformative, often providing the clarity needed to navigate life’s obstacles.

“When we announced the book club, over 30 individuals expressed interest. We began our journey on 1 February 2025, and will continue reading until November 2025, with a lineup of 10 inspiring books. While these are our core selections, members are free to read any book of their choice as long as they share their progress daily in the group,” she said.

Some participants gave a review of the Chapters and Beyond Book Club. The members stated that it enhances their knowledge and is a good opportunity to experience different ideas from different people. This makes it so easy to understand what they are reading.

Neelo Hashipala said the first chapter they are working on came at the right time because she always wanted coaching on her finances.

“It has been a good experience for me so far. It keeps me accountable, and getting other people’s perspectives helps me gain a more rounded understanding of what I’m reading,” she said.

She added that she would stick around until the last book they will be reading.

Linekela Nantuua told Youth Corner that it is an honour to be part of a community that is on the same path as you, not only to be held accountable for the reading pace or goal but to grow together and beyond. She believes that this community is more than just a book club. “I am thrilled to be part of this amazing team. With my busy schedule, I learned how to make time to actually read,” she said.

The reading list includes two books by Namibian authors, which are ‘The Black Girl’s Tale of Hope’ by Rosalia Shiweva, founder of The Global Mindset Coaching Academy and lead organiser of the book club. ‘Breaking Barriers’ by Estelle Tjipuka, a celebrated Namibian author whose work inspires readers to overcome obstacles.
