The world has turned dark and pressure of life is hitting her hard. A lot of things were eating her alive so she walks to a bar and ordered a strong drink. Her friend joined her and they ordered for more drinks and on that noisy night ,they drank it away with laughter. Seems like happiness does come from a strong bottle sometimes, because a man has once drunk to forget his poverty. The next day everything was still the way it was yesterday before she got drunk . “What changes has all this made”. Albert Einstein has once said, “The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of people that don’t do anything about it”. If only things could get a little easy for her, lets say if she had someone she could talk to openly. What came to her mind next was not stupidity, there was no intention to do evil, but if you could judge by the results of what has happened, she is just a 17 year old that ran out of choices on how to handle a matter that seemed to be much bigger than her. She overdosed herself with pills and took away her own life.
The point is, in every situation we face, there is always something that we can do to change something about it. As you read this article, someone out there is walking among us, someone is a victim of sexual assault. The ability to stand up and go for counselling and talk about it comes from those that wants to survive it. And honestly, it makes a lot of changes. What do you think would have happened to this victim that got raped and killed the man that raped her… would she be found guilty, or will the court of law understand and let her walk away ?
