Skrypt and KP Illest to rock Cotton Fest 2022… Namibia could not be prouder!

Ever since its inception by the late Riky Rick in 2019, Cotton Fest has been one of the most looked-forward to and talked about events across the region.

This year’s edition is set for 23 and 24 April. It was originally scheduled to take place in March, but was postponed due to the untimely death of Riky Rick. Now, fans and artists alike are excited and happy to be able to honour the rapper this April with their art and so much more.

Just recently, organisers of the event finally announced the line-up of celebrities who will be featuring at the festival, and Namibia is proud to be fully represented by our very own Skrypt and KP Illest.

As you can already imagine, this news has been received with a lot of excitement from fans and industry mates, who are happy to see the Nam flag and entertainment industry breaking barriers, and we already know these two will be making us proud.

Both artists have shared the good news on their social media, and it is good to see how amazingly fans are showing up for them in the comment section, pledging their support and looking forward to seeing the kind of magic these two will be bringing to the world.

This is undoubtedly a big move for both artists as far as their careers are concerned, especially because they get to share the stage with over 100 well-acclaimed and upcoming artists from South Africa.

As much as many still feel the line-up could have been done better, the Namibian entertainment industry is more than proud and ready to show the world the amazing talents that we hone.

The Cotton Fest will have a lifestyle component such as fashion, food and sports, in addition to prominent acts entertaining spectators on stage.

This year’s edition will be special, as it will be done in honour of the late Riky Rick who founded the event as a means to showcase young and upcoming talent.

The rapper committed suicide on 23 February 2022, and it is great to see his legacy continues to live on. – nalebrity.com
