Something-Artsy to host Paint and Karaoke night

After introducing Paint and Wine Nights in 2015, Something-Artsy Namibia has diversified and now offers Paint and Karaoke nights.

“Because so many other people are now offering paint and wine sessions, we thought it best to broaden our offering by adding an element of music to keep it interactive,” explained Jaimee-Lee Diergaardt, the founder of Something-Artsy Namibia.

The first-ever Paint and Karaoke night will take place at Safari Court Hotel on 29 October 2021 and again 3 December 2021.

Karaoke is a type of entertainment in which participants take turns singing popular songs into microphones over pre-recorded backing tracks.

“Those who sign up to sing a song will be called up, and the rest of the audience will be able to sing along. In a nutshell, it’s an enjoyable evening of painting, socialising and singing.”

The playlist for the karaoke includes a wide variety of songs.

These Paint and Wine nights and now Paint and Karaoke sessions are great night-out activities for a group of friends, couples or even singletons to meet new people, as it combines socialising while being creative.

Participants spend about two hours relaxing while creating a ‘one-of-a-kind’ painting, ensuring that each person creates their own unique artwork.

“For the painting activity, participants need no prior painting or art experience, as they will be led by a facilitator who gives step-by-step instructions.”

This event is open to anyone who wants to paint, sing and/or try new things.

Other events by Something-Artsy to look out for include Paint and Wine Night with a live model on 12 November, and the Battle of the Creators on 26 November.

Tickets for the Paint and Karaoke Night are N$350, and available at PayToday. It includes your take-home painting, welcome drinks, and a welcome snack.
