The Team Namibia Secretariat has announced that Chief Executive Officer of Team Namibia, Daisry Mathias, is stepping down effective July 15, 2015. Mathias assumed office on July 17, 2014 and according to the secretariat she was able to make exceptional progress in driving Team Namibia’s strategic focus and agenda. Some of her key highlights include increased operational capacity with the secretariat office relocation and human resourcing; significant advancements in stakeholder dialogue and engagement, and the implementation of strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives. “The Board of Directors are sad to say goodbye to Daisry so soon in her capacity as CEO, but believe she leaves to make a greater contribution to our beautiful country and we wish her success,” reads a statement from Team Namibia. The statement added that it is business as usual at Team Namibia while the organization seeks a highly competent successor to take over the reins to maintain its momentum, as it pursues its purpose of mobilising Namibian consumers to buy local and drive the promotion of quality local products and services.
