Windhoek
Namibia’s second strings rugby fifteen, the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias, are finding the going tough in the highly competitive South African second tier provincial rugby competition, the Currie Cup.
The Namibian amateurs remain winless after three rounds of matches and are still rooted to the bottom of the strong 15-team log table.
The John Williams’ coached Welwitschias were humbled 18-48 by the rampant Cell C Sharks going down against the rampant Durbanites at the King Zwelethini Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
It was the Welwitschias’ third consecutive defeat from the same number of games – having suffered heavy defeats in their opening two matches.
