All is done and dusted for the third and final edition of the popular Standard Bank Super Cup after the two finalists, African Stars and Tigers, received their playing kit at Football House in Katutura yesterday.

The highly anticipated final of the Super Cup between the two Katutura giants is slated for Sam Nujoma Stadium this Saturday, where Namibia Premiership champions Tigers will take on Standard Bank Super Cup defending champions African Stars in the grand finale.

As customary, the two teams were yesterday presented with their playing attire for Saturday’s clash, with Standard Bank Namibia’s company secretary, Sigrid Tjijorokisa, calling on the teams to bring out the best of local football on Saturday and imploring fans to come and see the best in action.

“It’s all coming down on Saturday at Sam Nujoma Stadium when the two giants meet for the grand finale of the Super Cup. We’re expecting a great game of memorable displays and we call upon all the fans to come and witness the biggest game of the year with us,” Tjijorokisa said.

NFA secretary general Barry Rukoro echoed Tjijorokisa’s sentiments and urged the clubs to bring their A-game on Saturday so as to convince the sponsors to bring back the Cup for seasons to come.

“The NFA is here to bring the sponsor on board, but it’s the clubs’ job to make sure sponsors stay in the game by making sure they bring more fans to the stadiums and play the best of football. Let’s make this one a spectacle indeed,” Rukoro said.

Tickets for the 2016 Standard Bank Super Cup are available for N$30 each from Computicket at Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide, as well as Football House in Katutura. The match starts at 16h00. Award-winning local musician Gazza will also be there to provide entertainment for the fans.
