OTJIWARONGO – Two men were arrested at Okondjatu settlement in the Okakarara constituency on Sunday after they were allegedly found in possession of 34 parcels of skunk cannabis.
Otjozondjupa region crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Edna Nawa, in an interview with Nampa on Monday said the two suspects are aged 18 and 23, and are residents of Okatoto.
“We arrested them at Okatoto after the police suspected them of dealing in drugs and launched a search,” she said.
The police were on Monday still busy determining the exact weight and value of the drugs.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Okakarara Magistrate’s Court this week.
Police investigations into the source of the cannabis continue, Nawa said.
