SWAKOPMUND – A Swakopmund pastor was granted N$2 000 bail by the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Friday on allegations of assaulting two female church members on multiple occasions between May 2022 and September 2022.

The incidents allegedly occurred at the Christ Centre Ministry Church in the Oletweni suburb of Mondesa, as well as at one of the victim’s residences, according to the police.

The pastor has been identified Felix Kudomo Kandjimi (34).

According to the crime investigations coordinator, deputy commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, Kandjimi allegedly instructed his two female victims – aged 31 and 37 – on separate occasions to undress and then applied “holy water” to their breasts and hips, and then massage their private parts.

“These actions were carried out under the false pretext of providing spiritual healing to the victims,” Iikuyu said.

He indicated that the investigation is still ongoing and additional evidence may emerge as the case progresses.

The case was postponed to 31 October.
