WINDHOEK

New fees crafted by the Namibia Bus and Taxi Association (Nabta) will take effect on Tuesday, commuters are warned.

Taxi fare will increase by 50 cents and thus taxi users will pay N$7.50 from one loading zone to another.

Nabta vice president, Vincent Simasiku, yesterday announced that the tariffs will increase by 10 percent next Tuesday. However, some routes will increase by between N$5 and N$10.

Long-distance commuters such as Windhoek to Oshakati will now pay N$140, while those travelling to Walvis Bay from the capital will pay N$110.
