The Rhythm light up Durban July After-Party

The Rhythm light up Durban July After-Party

Namibia’s dynamic DJ duo The Rhythm, renowned for their infectious blend of hip-hop and Afro House beats, recently electrified the after-party at the Durban July in South Africa.

The Rhythm is made up of DJ Kido and DJ Sandile, who are known for their energetic performances and seamless mixes.

The duo has rapidly risen to stardom since their debut in 2014.

Their journey to fame has been marked by milestones such as opening for industry giants like Maphorisa, Cassper Nyovest, Chris Taylor and Shimza, honing their craft and building a solid fanbase across various venues.

In 2018, their career reached new heights with their first international booking at the prestigious Durban July, where they left an indelible mark on Joe Cool North Beach with a pulsating set that kept revellers dancing into the early hours.

“We have quite a few projects lined up ahead. We currently have The WHOOS NEXTT Experience, taking place on 27 July at The Loft, featuring the likes of Shakes & Les (the Funk 99 Hitmakers), as well as BOKKIEULT from South Africa,” the band said.

The duo added that they are working on setting up one-on-one DJing lessons that are to start before the year ends.

“It’s been a demand from a lot of young and upcoming DJs,” said the duo.

Their recent performance at the Durban July after-party set their status as rising stars up on the DJ scene. The duo’s unique style and ability to read the crowd mood have earned them accolades and opportunities that continue to propel them forward in their musical journey.

“We would like to thank and give a big shout-out to everyone who’s continuously been supporting The Rhythm. We appreciate the love and support,” they said.
