WINDHOEK

Renowned theatre critic and columnist, Martha Mukaiwa, is bound to attend the 53rd Theatertreffen Berlin 2016 from May 9 to 15 as part of the Visitors Programme of the German Federal Government.

Every year in May, Germany’s most important theatre festival brings together theatre-makers, journalists and guests from all over the world in Berlin. Together with festival directors, directors, theatre critics and theatre professionals from around the world, Mukaiwa will have the opportunity to familiarise herself with Berlin’s theatre scene (e.g. Hebbel am Ufer, Maxim Gorki Theater, Deutsches Theater) and the promotion of theatre in Germany (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, German Federal Cultural Foundation). The programme includes a visit to the Theatertreffen and selected productions in German theatres as well.
