Thrills Galore … African Stars out to bag maximum points

Home Sports Thrills Galore … African Stars out to bag maximum points

WINDHOEK – Going into this weekend’s final fixtures of Round 6-7 of the MTC Namibia Premiership, African Stars mentor, Woody Jacobs says it will be nothing special but just usual business for his charges when they take on coastal giants Blue Waters at the Independence Stadium tomorrow.

Jacobs admitted it will not be an easy assignment against the in-form coastal outfit but maintained his brigades are ready and well prepared to collect the three points at stake.

“Waters have drastically improved since last season and they even defeated us twice last season, that’s why we can’t afford to take them lightly as they can punish you at any given time,” said Jacobs.

Stars boast a fairly clean injury list, with Lovers Kamuhanga and Milton Chapo the only two absentees ahead of this weekend’s clashes. “I’m quite impressed with the team’s level of fitness and most of the players are up for selection, so we are ready to get down to business.”

Stars also have another crucial match against Eleven Arrows on Sunday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, a clash Jacobs equally promised to leave no stone unturned in a bid to maintain their near faultless run.

Full weekend fixtures are as follows:
Saturday:
Civics vs United Stars – Sam Nujoma Stadium (15h30)
Citizens vs Julinho Sporting – Sam Nujoma Stadium (18h00)
African Stars vs Blue Waters – Independence Stadium (15h30)
Tura Magic vs Eleven Arrows – Independence Stadium (18h00)
