It is that time of the month yet again, where great music serves as a catalyst to uniting people from all walks of life, in the comfort of the Goethe Courtyard for our monthly “Night under the Stars” music concert.
Namibian singer and songwriter, Steffen List, popularly known as TONETiC, is featuring tonight. TONETiC‘s blend of alternative tunes can be described as Indie-Rock as his music fuses Rock, Pop, Classic and African influences. Max Frankl, (Winner ECHO Jazz 2012, Zurich, Switzerland) was once quoted referring to his music as, “A voice that projects accurately its maker’s soulful core. Authentic and raw guitar riffs. Multi-facetted grooves and clever sounds. Wonderful songwriting.” The artist attributes his musical inspiration to the intricacies of Namibia‘s endless landscapes, powerful primal energies and its diverse people.
TONETiC writes songs with a sensitive edge tracing emotional complexities and the ever-questioning trials of life. He is definitely no newcomer to the Namibian music scene, having shared the stage with popular musicians such as Shishani, Suzy Eises, as well as other local and international artists and has Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) and the Namibian Theatre and Film Awards (NTFA) accolades under his belt. The N.U.T.S concert hosted in the Goethe Courtyard makes for an ideal Friday night out with friends and showcases the Goethe Centre’s commitment to bring high quality live local sounds to the people. Be advised, outdoor heaters will be used at the venue, however warm jackets and blankets are encouraged. The concert is part of the “German Weeks“ programme, celebrating 25 years of German-Namibian cooperation.
The concert kicks off at seven O’clock (19h00) and entrance is N$20. The public at large is warmly invited to come and experience the delight of the Night under the Stars concert.
