WINDHOEK-Top Namibian international award winning model, Meriam Kaxuxwena, is featuring at the IB696 Conscious Fashion Show scheduled for November 1 at the Protea Hotel Thuringerhoff here.
Meriam will be taking all the upcoming and young models on a journey of the modelling world as well as motivating them to enter the fashion industry, especially the ones interested in pursuing a modelling career. Meriam says she is really happy to be chosen as one of the speakers at the event. “Although I just got back from Angola recently, I am really happy to the organisers for making me part of this show as this will benefit many young people,” she says. Josua Johhanes, the main organiser of the event, the series of the IB696 Conscious Fashion Show is becoming bigger and better as they continue to shape up people’s ideas especially when it comes to young entrepreneurs. “This time we are not going to have a catwalk fashion show but only models wearing designer’s collections whereby people will be sharing ideas of how one can become a successful fashionista,” says he. He adds that the fashion show is about inspiration, poetry, motivational speeches and young talents exposure.
All models will get free photo shoots and guests will be treated to a musical extravaganza by Namibian artists such as Anthony and Selma. The main aim of the show is to promote a clothing brand known as “IB696 be the inspiration”. The event is also aimed at bringing fashion lovers, fashion followers and fashion designers together for them to showcase their creative artworks and to inspire one another. Tickets for the show are N$150 apiece and doors open seven O’clock (19h00).
