The top trending clip is of international model Meriam Kaxuxwena claiming that 2021 will be a year she will be focusing on herself and nothing else, adding that she will give herself the undivided attention she deserves.
The model’s clip garnered more than 127 comments, 500 reactions and more than 10 000 views.
“This year, I said I want a 32 inch and it’s what I did. This is how you should treat yourself in 2021 because most of you focus on other people. Young people like going on Instagram, envying others because they are doing better than us,” she voiced.
She suggested social media users unfollow other users if they feel intimidated or pressured because of certain lifestyles. “Let me be honest with you, if somebody is putting you under pressure, as we are speaking right now, go and unfollow them. This year you don’t want anyone to give you stress,” mentioned MK.
She added: “The moment you see someone buying a car, unfollow the person, why do you have to put yourself under pressure? You are the same age and you feel the person is doing better than you and you are not getting anywhere, if that person does not motivate you to do better, please unfollow that person if they are making you jealous.”
“Don’t let anyone suck the energy out of you. Don’t let any anyone put you under pressure,” said Kaxuxwena in the clip that gained positive comments from users with some saying they concur with her sentiments.
Mila Dias said: “Oh yes that’s what I needed to hear. 2021 it’s all about me, me and more of me. Don’t entertain nonsense. Thank you for the encouragement. Let’s push to do better for ourselves. Forget about the outsiders.”
