Home National Tov to host a Read-A-Thon

WINDHOEK- Tov  Read-A-Thon is on September 29 at Tov Multipurpose Centre in Vinia Ndadi Street Erf 1392 from 08h00 to 17h00.

Children will be reading non-stop from 08h00 to 17h00 on that Saturday, teaching the children the value of reading and the importance of hard work. The objectives of the event are to raise funds to prepare them for the final examination. If a child fails one of the promotional subjects, they will fail the class. Time and resources would thus have been wasted. Thus Tov is targeting a 100 percent pass rate.

The second aim is that Tov is raising funds for 300 bags of cements to complete the chicken houses. This project will enable the centre to put ten children in private schools and 24 girls at Tov Private Hostel, fully funded by Tov and its private donors. “We need a budget of N$22 000 for food, covering October and November and N$30 000 for 300 bags of cements. You can eWallet or BlueWallet or EasyWallet to cellphone 0812748618,” appeals the centre.

Billionaires, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet reads about 50 books a year and 500 pages per day respectively.
