OKAKARARA – The third day of the annual Okakarara trade fair was marked by an increased attendance from the general public and smooth flow of business activities for most exhibitors, especially the food and agriculture stalls.

Brooklyn Muniazo, the head of the Okakarara Trade Fair Society (OTFAS), said the past three days have seen growing attendance at all sections of the show.

As organisers, he said it brings them great joy to see the various exhibitors getting needed exposure and making a profit.

“The three days have been great and as you can see. People are visiting all the sections of the trade fair and that is what we want to see. We want all exhibitors to showcase their services and products. With the current attendance, I can assure you that Friday and Saturday will be bigger and better. The aim is to give all participants an opportunity to expand the reach of their businesses and make new connections with other businesses,” the elated Muniazo said.

He was also happy to see almost all government ministries and agencies present at the event and give first-hand services and information to the public.

“The public is getting various services right at their doorstep and that is thanks to the trade fair, because otherwise they would have waited for months and weeks to either register their sim cards or apply for new IDs and so forth. So, I’m urging more people to come through and access different services that are available here. They must also come and learn about new products that are usually not available to them in Okakarara,” the OTFS head appealed.

Meanwhile, vice president and patron of the trade fair, Nangolo Mbumba will officially opened the event today.

Mbumba will visit the stalls of the various exhibitors and is also expected to deliver the keynote address. –  ohembapu@nepc.com.na
