WINDHOEK

Unam remain on course for promotion to the country’s Southern Stream Division One League next season.

The students are sitting pretty on the summit with a massive 46 points from a possible 60 after 20 matches in the 12-team MTC Khomas Regional League – Namibia’s third tier football league.

The students took a breather last weekend, but still enjoy a comfortable six-point lead with a game in hand over their closest challengers Arcadia.

Second placed Arcadia defeated Young Ones by 2 goals to 1 in last weekend’s action while collecting three valuable points without shedding a drop of sweat in their scheduled match against Golden Rivers, following the Donkerhoek-based outfit’s failure to show up for their league assignment.

In other action – Invincible’s aspirations of a quick return to the Southern Stream Division One suffered a major blow after the Tauben Glen-based outfit’s narrow defeat at the hands of Falcon.
