In their last match in the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) premier league before playoffs, defending champions Unam proved to be the better side as they demolished Grootfontein 48-8 on Saturday.

“It was a tough game, although we managed to collect maximum points. We gave it our all, and our opponents also gave us a good game. We would have hoped for the other teams to drop points, but they all won their matches,” he observed.

“For now, we have to focus on the semi-final, which will be played this coming weekend against Kudus. Playing Kudus is going to be another great test, but we are all ready for that clash.”

Coastal outfit Kudus remain in the second position, and now have with 59 points from 14 matches after winning 10-0 at home against Western Suburbs.

In other matches played, Wanderers won their weekend derby against United 54-26, and remain first on the log standings with 62 points from 14 matches.
