WINDHOEK – It was another weekend of tears and joy in the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) Premiership, when Rehoboth Rugby Club thumped Kudus by 39-26 and United Rugby Club demolishing Reho Falcon by 49-12, for both victors to book their places in the semi-finals.
With the win, Rehoboth will now face reigning champions Western Suburbs in one of the semi-finals, while United takes on Wanderers in the seconds’ semi-final.
With the draw, United and Wanderers will continue their rivalry when the two giants confront each other in what promises to be a titanic battle, deciding which one will proceed through to the final. A fierce battle can also be expected between Suburbs and Rehoboth, because as far history is concerned, matches between these two teams have never failed to deliver the goods.
The same kind of tenacity, as on previous occasions, is anticipated to be the order of the day when the semi-final proceedings gets underway in the country’s flagship rugby league.
