SWAKOPMUND – The women and mixed teams of the Rossmund Bowling Club (RBC) gained valuable ground last weekend when they celebrated victory apiece over the Tsumeb Bowling Club (TBC), while their men’s team lost against the same opponents, leaving them in a precarious position on the log standings.  

RBC ladies had a field day as they thrashed their opponents by 30:10 to move into 3rd place on the log standings, just four points off the summit from TransNamib Bowling Club (TNBC). In the mixed division, Rossmund players were made to work hard for their win in an evenly contested encounter, which ended with 16:15 in their favour. Like their female club counterparts, the mixed team moved to 3rd spot on the log standings – narrowing the gap between them and log leaders Eros Bowling Club (EBC) to a mere 2-points. In other action, Rossmund men’s team crashed to a 19:13 defeat at the hands of TBC, leaving them with a momentous eight points adrift the top. The National League continues this weekend with the following games:

April 5: Tsumeb Bowling Club vs TransNamib at TransNamib, Namib Park vs Eros Bowling Club at Eros, Rossmund Bowling Club vs Windhoek Country Club at Windhoek Country Club on April 6. Tsumeb Bowling Club vs Windhoek Bowling Club at Windhoek Bowling Club, Namib Park Bowling Club vs Windhoek Country Club at Windhoek Country Club, Rossmund Bowling Club vs Eros Bowling Club at Eros Bowling Club.
