VIBE UP festival coming soon

Rose-Mary Haufiku

In response to Namibia’s rapidly rising unemployment rate, Windhoek-based entrepreneur Immah Nanyemba has decided to host a VIBE UP business festival.

VIBE UP is short for ‘Visualisation Interaction for Businesses and Entertainment Unstoppable Prosperity’, and will run under the theme ‘The Road to Namibian SME Growth & Evolution’.

Nanyemba told Youth Corner that the festival was created out of the necessity to promote self-employment among the youth in response to the country’s increasing joblessness rate.

“This is an event organised for small and medium enterprises (SME) owners to come pitch, present and display a selection of their goods and services,” he explained.

The two-day event is scheduled for 28 to 29 October 2022 in Windhoek at a venue to be communicated in due course.

With this venture, the 27-year-old Nanyemba aims to create opportunities for local business owners, and those who intend to start businesses.

“It is also an opportunity for SME owners to create a market for themselves for potential investment and growth,” he added.

Nanyemba said the public can expect a fruitful business information-sharing platform, the exhibition of products and services for local and international markets, while top entertainment will be the icing on the cake.

More information regarding tickets and other general information is available on their Instagram and Facebook pages @vibe.up.business.festival.el or their website https://vibeup.nanssit.com/.
