The long-awaited rainy season is finally upon us. After a heavy downpour on Saturday evening in Windhoek and elsewhere in the central and northern areas, residents can as from today look forward to more rains almost countrywide. The forecast for today is more rain in the central parts and heavy downpours in the most western parts of northern Namibia all along the Angolan border to the eastern parts.
Rainy conditions will continue for most of the week with more heavy thunderstorms and rain expected in the greater parts of the country by Thursday afternoon. Selma Kanjibi, Saraphina Shayuka, Beatha Uugwanga and Fiina Sheehamandje were armed with umbrellas when the skies opened up yesterday afternoon.
