WINDHOEK– Waltons has donated furniture pieces to the Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Namibia.

According to Shaun Finsch, Waltons’ Sales and Marketing Manager, their found at their annual stocktaking furniture pieces with some defects but that are still very useful and can be repaired. “We decided to donate this furniture to DAPP Namibia because we know they can come to good use,” says Finsch. Among the furnitures are tables and chairs in sizes fitted for kindergartens, desks for teachers, shelves and lockable cabinets for educational material in a class room and filling cabinets.

Bernard Hoaeb, Programme Officer of DAPP Namibia, says the furniture will help upgrade the schools to the benefit of both staff and learners. We are very grateful to Waltons.  “Staff and students will be engaged in the practical action to repair this furniture pieces and move them to their useful places,”Hoaeb says.

DAPP Namibia is a non-profit organisation operating private schools such as, the DAPP Vocational Training School, DAPP Private School from Grade 1 to 10 and DAPP Kindergarten.
