WINDHOEK – FNB Namibia has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment towards the development of sport in Namibia when the financial giant handed over a sponsorship of N$120 000 to Danie van der Merwe, chairman of the Wanderers Rugby Club in Windhoek recently.
In appreciation of the gesture, Van der Merwe reciprocated the generous sponsorship with a replica jersey of the club to FNB’s Head of Strategic Marketing and Communications Dixon Norval. “It is only through the generous support of corporate companies like FNB Namibia that we can continue to play the great sport of rugby, thereby giving our children the ideal opportunity to play this great game and to become part of a sport code and to enjoy the fruits of hard team labour on the sports field. Thank you FNB. I am sure our jersey will find a great space at your head office,” said Van der Merwe.
