Though the City of Windhoek has implored residents to save and use water sparingly a New Era journalist came across this scene in Khomasdal where clear water gushed in a steady stream. According to residents the water has been flowing for the past two to three weeks and despite reports to the municipality nothing has been done. Upon enquiry its public relations officer Lydia Amutenya professed ignorance about the situation but assured residents the municipality would immediately follow up on the issue. “If it was reported we would have immediately taken suitable measures,” Amutenya said.
