Beauties Football Club coach Erol Damaseb expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance as they continue to strive for success in the competitive FNB Women’s Super League.
Beauties registered back-to-back victories, triumphing over NUST Babes (3-1) in a match played at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Centre in the capital on Saturday, followed by a 2-1 victory over V-Power Angels on Sunday.
Despite a slow start to the game against NUST, Damaseb was delighted with his team’s efforts, citing the tough opposition they faced as a significant test of their abilities.
The coach praised his players for their determination to secure maximum points, particularly as they were missing some key team members.
“The other team was not giving up anytime. We were left without some key players, but the ones on the team made sure we collected maximum points this morning,” he said.
“We have to trust in our players for the results.”
Damaseb acknowledged his team’s slow start against NUST but was pleased with their performance in the second half.
Looking ahead, he expressed his satisfaction with the team’s overall performance and their desire to maintain their momentum in upcoming fixtures.
Elsewhere in the league, there were several impressive victories, including V-Power’s 7-1 win over Okahandja FC, Ongwediva Queens’ 7-0 victory over Omaheke Queens and Unam Bokkies’ 5-1 triumph over Ramblers.
Khomas Nampol secured a 5-2 win over Namib Daughters, while Girls and Goals defeated Arrows Ladies 3-1.
Despite NUST Babes coach Tjiue Kavikairiua’s disappointment with his team’s second defeat, he remained optimistic about their improvement and determination to find their form.
“Yes, it’s not the results we wanted, but I am happy that we have improved,” he said.
“This shows from the margin of goals that we lost with last week. I think, as time goes, my players will understand and they can find their tune and do well as a team.”
