I am amazed at the way time has been flying fast lately. I can still vividly remember how I spend my new year like it was yesterday, but counting back it has been nine months. Enough with living in the past, we are in the last quarter of the year 2014 and this is usually the cut throat time of the year. Everyone gets busy with something at this time of the year; some write their final exams, some are hunting for jobs, and some are writing end-of-the-year reports of some sort.
It is nerve-wrecking for most people when faced by such situations, which is very normal. Some people even get physiologically sick when they are nervous. However, there is a way that we can go through our exam or job hunting nervousness without getting sick. I do not want to use the term “exam stress” or “work stress” because I find the term stress to stand for something extreme. Stress is the feeling of worried for a period of time, which can become chronic and cause other diseases such as high blood pressure. However, we are not supposed to feel like that during our exam times. We have the right to be nervous because we care about our performances.
Today I would like to wish each and everyone of you my best of wishes in whatever you are up to as we approach our end-of-the-year. The saying goes “To fail to prepare, is to prepare to fail”. We can achieve whatever we want to achieve in our lives if we put in the work that is needed to make it happen and be optimistic that it will happen. Being focused is key in success. You have to give what you are working on all your energy. Sometimes it takes longer to see the desired results but that should not stop us from keeping our dreams alive. Remember Thomas Edison failed a thousand times in attempt to make a light bulb, but in the end he did. Failure is not a virus, it is a challenges. The times you fail do not count, but rather the times you picked yourself up.
Put your fears aside and do what you have to do to get where you want to be. It is not about succeeding more than others or like that. We are all unique individuals, with different ways of doing things. The only thing that you are racing toward your dreams with is time. Keep up and always be on time because if you let it go you can never get it back. Work toward your dreams in a way that is comfortable for you. I wish you guys energy and health to work well toward your goals for the end of 2014. Be positive and believe that you can do, because so far you have made it somewhere in life and you have made it because there is something in you.
