Wounded ‘Hitman’ Moses to get rematch

WINDHOEK – Namibia’s internationally-acclaimed boxing promoter Nestor Tobias has assured local boxing fans that he will work hard to ensure Paulus ‘Hitman’ Moses, who lost his WBO International Lightweight title to South African boxer Malcolm Klassen last weekend, gets a rematch soon.

“We are in the process of securing a rematch for Hitman, so that is definitely on the cards. Things did not go our way on the night but that is the beauty of boxing, we know Hitman is still a world-class fighter that’s why we still have a lot of confidence in his boxing abilities.

“We know it is just a matter of time before he reclaims his title. If you watched the fight closely, he finished off strong and that is a sign of a world-class athlete. We will make an announcement in due course pertaining this rematch,” said Tobias.

The award-winning promoter also heaped praise on Immanuel ‘Prince’ Naidjala and Bethuel ‘Tyson’ Ushona, who both made remarkable comebacks after losing their respective titles late last year.

“With such comebacks, I’m sure their confidence is well boosted and will be in high spirits going into their next fights. Our knock out specialist Walter ‘The Executioner’ has once again shown what he is made of and that he has a bright future. Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo also did what he does best by winning the WBO Africa Junior Welterweight title,” concluded Tobias.

He thanked the main sponsor, MTC, and other partners, who made the event possible.
