A love perfectly timed, a final plea, and one defining moment. That is the emotional sense of Yeezir’s latest release, ‘Perfect Timing’, a track the artist describes as both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Yeezir says he was chasing a very specific feeling while speaking on the inspiration behind the song, “I was chasing the feeling of, when a man is about to lose this girl, that song is like basically just the last resort, a song that fights for hope, letting the muse know he is indeed still around,” he said.

The song carries the urgency of a relationship at risk, but the artist also frames it as something positive and hopeful “I would say, ‘Perfect Timing’ is more like a wedding song. It’s like a proposal song type.” 

The song also explores the idea that love arrives when it is meant to. “When the time is right, I know when I’ll be ready, and I know I’m ready now, and it’s the perfect timing.”

The creative process behind the song was not rushed; it unfolded over time, showing that although the full track was produced quickly, some verses and lyrics sat with him for a long while. When it came to the beat, it was purely his intuition that helped him connect with the track. 

“I just heard the beat, and the lyrics came to mind as soon as I heard the melody; the beat basically guided me,” he explained.

That instinctive process helped shape the song’s distinct mood, particularly in its more intimate moments. This also allowed him and his team to capture the song’s visuals to perfection.

Though he often draws from scenarios he creates, Yeezir says the song has a deep personal meaning, an experience he keeps close to his heart. “I like to put myself in scenarios that never happen sometimes. But in this case, it does have a meaning to me. I don’t want to talk about it now, but it has a lot of meaning to me,” he concluded.
