Four-piece Namibian soul group The Yesterday will be gracing the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre stage for the first time and cannot wait to share what they have to offer.

Arthur Daka, one of the band members, told VIBEZ! the show will be fantastic; they have a good mix of originals that they will be playing for the first time ever and some covers that will make one want to sing and dance along.

“We are prepared for the event; when we say it’s going to be fantastic, we mean it. It’s going to be epic!” he exclaimed.

The other members are Misael Lehto José Cambinda, Genivaldo Milton José Cambinda, and Ray-Angelo Pedze.

The band was formed in 2020, playing a collection of funky and groovy tunes, primarily song covers in the genres of jazz, alternative, blues, pop, and country. Daka said their unique brand of entertainment fuses local and international sounds with interactive and fun performances.

The Yesterday’s last gig was on Valentine’s Day at Berrilicious.

“We are not really in the music industry; we are still outside looking in, and I think we are happy where we are at the moment,” he said.

Daka noted that they would love to work and collaborate with The Ells, whom he described as the coolest band in the country.
