Namibia will be represented at the Africa Netball World Youth Cup Qualifiers, to take place in Gaborone, Botswana in July.
The top three finishers from the continental qualifiers – to be used by the Local Organising Committee of Netball World Youth Cup 2017 as a test event – will earn automatic qualification for the much-anticipated Netball World Youth Cup next year.

Netball Namibia (NN) has made a humble request to all its affiliates to put their ducks in a row with regard to getting young netballers ready for the regional and subsequent national trials as early as possible.

“This is the perfect platform for young players to unleash their raw skill if they are to scale the international netball scene. Would-be-trialists must be under the age of 21 as of December 31, the year before the tourney commenced,” reads a statement from NN.

The provisional squad will be engaged in a number of extensive training sessions and will also be exposed to match preparation opportunities, before the final team is selected to represent Namibia at the continental showpiece en route to the Netball World Youth Cup in 2017.
