WINDHOEK- The third annual National Young Women’s Day takes place next Saturday at the University of Namibia (Unam)’s rugby field bringing together young women from across the country.
This year’s gathering has been themed “Building Strength, Increasing Self Esteem and Assertiveness” and aims to engage the hearts and minds of the young women on the subjects such as learning how to experience more joy, peace and contentment, learning to receive God’s love, steering towards self-confidence, embracing one’s uniqueness, challenges in life, relationships and many other topics related to young women.
Guests and panel speakers will include Miss Namibia 2014, Young Female Achievers like the Junior Mayor, Business Woman of the Year, Mara Mberira, Miss Polytechnic, Miss Unam, Uncle G and many others. Besides the discussions, there will be activities such as poems reading, dramas, choir/worship performances, team building games, Zumba and self –defence lessons. The gathering targetting women from 12 years will start at 07h00 until late. A commitment fee of N$20 is payable. Transport will be available from Oruuano Protestant Unity Church in Ephraim Hei Street in Katutura. The organisers are encouraging attendees to dress comfortably for team building and sports activities in the afternoon.
