The National Theatre of Namibia hereby invites Theatre Directors / Playwrights to submit Children’s Stories / Theatre Plays for its Annual Children’s Theatre project, it was announced in a press release.

The NTN Annual Children’s Theatre project aims at entertaining as well as educating school pupils through theatre plays. This project is presented annually at the Theatre to thousands of pupils from previously disadvantaged schools in Katutura and Khomasdal respectively.

Requirements:

– The story/play must be educational, e.g. good moral behaviours, friendship, respect, loyalty and unity, etc;

– The story/play can be new or already existing;

-Duration of the play must not be more than 45 minutes;

– Submissions must be in an electronic and hard copy format;

– A maximum of two stories/plays can be submitted;

Deadline for submissions:

August 31, 2007.

The successful story/play will be staged at the National Theatre during the month of Fe-bruary 2008 to pupils from various schools in Windhoek.
