WINDHOEK– The VMSIX are launching their third commercial album “Ekundungu” (Storm Wind) at Nice Restauranton Tuesday.

The Accapella music band of five  was formed in 1999 and released their first album, Fetch and Find, in 2009  and their second, VMSIX classic in 2011 making the group the best in what they do coveting ten national  and four international awards.   Peter Chizyuka, a member of the group, says having achieved resounding success this year, the band performed in different countries like Finland, Estonia Germany and China, and also hosted its first international Acapella festival in Southern Africa.

“This album of 11 songs is very organic with all songs Christian music. Acapella  at its best, it will have the name VMSIX spreading like a virus. The album is mixed by Danny Ozment for Emerald City Productions, and Mastering was done by Dave Sperandio of Vocal , USA, giving it a decisive updated edge without losing anything of the essence of the band. This helped us create something that was new and exciting while still in the line of our Heritage Acapella music,” says Chizyuka.

This time fans of VMSIX must expect the best show as the group has the added voice of a female singer. “We are joined by Adora Kisting and she has make a good difference in the album. Never before have we sounded this fresh and up to date with Acappella music without losing the essence of what VMSIX is all about pure (Harmony),” says Chizyuka. Tickets are limited and going for N$150. The doors open at half-past-seven (1930) and the  show starts at eight O’clock (20H00) till half-past-nine (21H30h).
