ONDANGWA-The youth here in the northern part of the country are hosting this year’s beauty pageant on December 13 in the Oluno Community Hall in collaboration with Facebook Lounge, under the theme Going beyond limits. The event has been initiated by a group of young artists known by their stage name, DHP. One of this year’s event organisers and founder of DHP, Peya Junior Mushelenga, says they joined hands with Facebook Lounge to bring the most anticipated annual event in the community of Ondangwa. “Having started the initiative two years ago, we promised to take this year’s event to the next level. We decided to use the theme Going beyond limits as we came up with new ideas as a management to make this event a success,” says Peya.

The main aim of the event is to promote and provide a platform were young talented Namibian girls can grow to greater height in their modelling careers. The event also seeks to promote local upcoming artists to get exposed to several promoters forming part of the audience.

With various underground artists lining up to entertain the audiences, the pageant promises nothing but the best.

“Votes of thanks go to the sponsors that came on board and the management is still urging more sponsors to join hands with the DHP Trading and make a difference in the lives of Namibians as a whole. To be the best sometimes you have to work with the best,” he says.
