WINDHOEK– Models will strut down the runway next Friday as the University of Namibia (UNAM) student’s showcase their designs at their annual fashion show.
Every this month the Unam’s Visual and Performing Arts Department showcased the work of its fashion design students at a spectacular annual show at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre FNCC. The event has been growing from strength to strength with each year, both with regard to the quality of the designs and their professional presentation. This time the work of students and graduate designers will be complemented by the latest collections of two invited alumni’s of Unam, who by now have started successful careers as independent fashion designers in Namibia. The designs that will be presented are based on traditional and contemporary fashion concepts as well as influenced by popular culture, consumerism and innovative recycling techniques.
The fashion show takes place at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) Gallery at 20h00. Entrance fee is N$50 and for students with valid student card N$20.
