WINDHOEK – Police at Osire arrested a 26-year-old woman after she allegedly fatally stabbed 26-year-old Isaskar Duxub with a broken mirror two times in the chest in the aftermath of a heated quarrel.
The incident occurred at about 12h00 on Saturday at Farm Penwood in the Osire District and the deceased succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. A case of murder was opened under CR3/10/2013 while police investigations continue. In another incident a case of murder was opened against the police after a suspected scrap metal thieve was shot and killed during an attempt to steal scrap metal at a dealer in Walvis Bay. According to the weekend crime report the incident happened at around 00h40 on Saturday at Salvage Scrap Metal. The deceased and seven other suspects were found stealing scrap metal when the police were alerted. When the police arrived at the scene the suspects fled and the police fired some warning shots. In the process, one of the thieves was killed, three were arrested while four got away.
The deceased has not been identified yet as the arrested suspects refuse to talk to the police, Nuuyi said. A case of theft was opened against the suspects and the police are investigating. An inquest docket was also opened at Farm Du Plessis in the Omaheke Region after the boddy of Frans Stoffie was found in the veld on Friday at around 06h00. It was reported that the deceased apparently ran into the veld on Thursday at about 20h00 and never returned home. Police are investigating the cause of death.
